I don’t know whether we’ll see a better high-end gaming PC deal than this iBuyPower rig through the Prime Day sales

You can find an RX 9070 XT gaming PC for a little cheaper than this, however, here you’re not only getting 32 GB of DDR5 RAM but also a 9800X3D. That’s the best gaming CPU currently on the market, so there shouldn’t be any bottlenecking going on here, even in CPU-intensive games.

I don’t like to call it too early, because you never know what will pop up, and Prime Day itself technically hasn’t started yet (Amazon opens up the proverbial doors tomorrow), but I’d be surprised if this isn’t the best deal on a high-end gaming PC we see through this Prime Day.
For $1,749 at Walmart, you can pick up a rig with not just AMD’s best GPU offering, but also the best CPU for gaming currently on the market.
This is also from a range of PC’s we’ve personally had our hands on and rate highly. Our Jacob Ridley had a look at the 2024 Valorant version and found it to be pretty impressive all-round. Cable management, aesthetics, liquid cooling, and so on was all solid, and while we’ve not tried this newer configuration, that experience gives us some reason to think we’ll be dealing with a high-quality build here, too.

Which is just as well, given the components it packs inside. The AMD RX 9070 XT is a top-end card, and it’s what I use on the daily. Given it’s AMD, you sadly won’t be getting widespread game support for the latest upscaling and frame gen technologies, but most games should support some form of FSR.
When it comes to pure raster performance, you’re looking at similar to the RTX 5070 Ti. In other words, more than capable at 1440p and even at 4K in a lot of titles.

It’s not all about the GPU, of course, but on the processor front you’ve got nothing to worry about—unless you’re looking to maximise some heavy producitivty work, such as professional editing work, for instance. The Ryzen 7 9800X3D is the best CPU you can get your hands on right now thanks to its store of vertically stacked cache that games love to chew through, plus AMD’s latest Zen 5 architecture.
The other big draw to this machine is its RAM. A year ago I’d never have thought I’d be drawing attention to the 32 GB of RAM in a $1,700 rig—that was standard, back then—but thanks to the global memory shortage, even mid-range and high-end rigs are often cheaping out on RAM. Not here, though, as in addition to the other top-end specs you’re getting a full 32 GB of memory.
Sadly, still just 1 TB of storage. But you can’t have it all, eh? Not in 2026, that’s for sure. Short of that, though, I’d say you almost get the whole caboodle here, and I’ll be intrigued to see if anything else can top it this week.
