The Blood of Dawnwalker – Crake romance guide
It’s going to take a bit of effort before you can romance Crake in The Blood of Dawnwalker. That’s because you have to join the Manumits first. Here’s a quick summary:

Straight out of the prologue, you could try to complete The Firebrand quest.
This leads to another mission called Shadows in the Woods, which is where you’ll meet the Manumits: Crake, Drogos, and Sara.
The Manumits don’t trust Coen yet, so you have to prove yourself to them by increasing your Infamy level. Once you reach level 4 (Notorious), the quest step for Where Loyalty Lies will change. You’ll be able to enter the Manumits hideout and proceed with the next steps.

What Hunts the Night
You’ll have an opportunity to learn more about Crake during What Hunts the Night. When Coen and Crake decide to hide in a building, there are dialogue options where you can have Crake open up more.

“Do you want to talk about Sara?”
“You sure? You look upset.”
“I know what it’s like to lose someone.” – If you’ve already completed Home Sweet Home, then you can talk a bit about Coen’s past trauma.
“Maybe we could talk about them instead.”
“Alin loved apples.”

Coen and Crake have a little bonding time hiding from soldiers.
What Moves the Dead
The next part of the Crake romance in The Blood of Dawnwalker takes place in What Moves the Dead. After Coen and Crake escape from the crypts, you’ll have the option to “walk him back to the hideout.” This costs 1x Time Segment, but you’ll also learn that Crake’s real name is Marat.
Inside the hideout, you’ll have a chance to bandage Crake’s/Marat’s wounds:

“Let me help.”
“Not that bad.”
“Sure.”

Dress Crake’s wounds after a battle.
Distant Shadows
This portion of Crake’s story arc might seem like a throwaway quest, but you need to tackle it if you want to romance him. Your goal is to follow a man named Ascar:

While trailing Ascar, hide behind obstacles so you don’t get spotted.
There are soldiers in the village. Stay several feet away from them. If they recognize Coen, it’s all over.
Follow Ascar through the woods and, near the end, you’ll see him accosted by the soldiers. You can save him if you’d like or just stay hidden.
If Ascar spotted you, you can ask him if he knows of a person named Marat.

Back at the hideout, talk to Crake and tell him what happened. Be honest. He’ll storm off, but his lieutenant, Drogos, will tell you where he went. Say that you’ll go talk to him.
Stealthily stay on Ascar’s trail.
A Closer Look: Crake sex/romance scene
And this is the part where you get to romance Crake in The Blood of Dawnwalker. Keep in mind that A Closer Look is a time-sensitive quest. You must complete it within the same cycle–i.e. If it’s nighttime, then you can’t advance to the next day.
In any case, go to the marked location and have a chat with Crake. Pick the following options:

“May I join you then?”
“I’m worried about you. What’s wrong?’
“Please, just tell the truth about Ascar.”
“Hey, nothing you say can change the way I see you.”

You’ll learn that Ascar is Crake’s father, and he left on bad terms after his dad found out about his sexuality. At this stage, Crake will kiss Coen, only for the latter to get startled. Now, you just need to pick this option: [Kiss him back].
Kiss Crake back to surprise him, too.
After the scene, you can continue chatting with Crake. Coen can also share that his mother might’ve been aware that he’s bisexual, causing the two warriors to come to an understanding. From here, Crake tells you about his plan to defeat Brencis, which eventually leads to his own finale quest.
