As part of the Nintendo Direct today, Nintendo announced a free update for Mario Kart World that adds courses from the original Mario Kart game, 1992’s Super Mario Kart. People don’t have to wait–the update is out today.
Classic courses from that game, including Choco Island, Vanilla Lake, and Ghost Valley, will be available to play in Versus. There are 10 courses in total.

Additionally, players can ride over question-mark panels to grab items, just like it worked decades ago in the original game.
Additionally, two new routes are coming to Mario Kart World’s Knockout Tour. These include Turnip Rally and Propeller Rally.
