Phantom | RTX 5080 | 265F: was $2999.99 now $2799.99Okay, there’s some pretty slow RAM in this build, but for this price in the current market I’m not complaining. I didn’t think I’d see any RTX 5080 build like this one at such a price again, but lo and behold, Stormcraft has other ideas. This rig should handle any game, even at 4K. It’s a true high-end deal.
Key specs: Core Ultra 7 265F | RTX 5080 | 32 GB DDR5-4800 | 2 TB SSDView Deal
The memory crisis has clearly settled into normalcy now because I found myself genuinely excited to see an RTX 5080 PC like this going for $2,800 at Newegg. Turn the clocks back one year and I’d have said that’s steep, but these days, it’s really not. For an RTX 5080 rig with 32 GB of DDR5 RAM and 2 TB of storage, anything under $3,000 is well-priced these days. The GPU alone costs over $2,000 on its own today.
There is, of course, a catch, which is that its RAM is a slow 4,800 MT/s. Ideally, you’d be getting a kit that runs at 6,000 MT/s. However, you shouldn’t lose a ton of frames just because your RAM is slow. You might lose some here and there, but not significantly. It might be a different story with certain productivity tasks, but if gaming’s your goal, you should be fine.

The CPU is actually pretty decent. It’s a current-gen Intel chip with eight performance cores, and should be enough for both gaming and productivity. Though of course it won’t match top-spec ones for productivity, or X3D ones for gaming.
In terms of what actual performance you can expect, as you can see from the chart below, the RTX 5080 struggles with practically nothing. Expect smooth frame rates in most games even at 4K, with only the most demanding titles requiring you to drop some settings or go back to 1440p.

You’re also getting a 360 mm AIO cooler, which should do wonders for that Core Ultra 265F CPU and prevent throttling. You’re also getting everything wrapped up in a pretty stylish chassis. The angled fans at the bottom look particularly nice.
Overall, though, it’s just a solid high-end build for the cheapest price I’ve seen any similar RTX 5080 PC recently. We’re not talking the pre-memory shortage prices of yesteryear, but for the market today, I’d say this is well worth a look.
