Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4, aka Override, is giving the battle royale island a retro gaming-themed makeover in Chapter 7 Season 4. There are Tetris blocks all over the place, and the new “Green Hills” landing spot looks like it was ripped straight from your old Sega Genesis. It’s not an entirely new island, since we just got a full map refresh at the start of Season 3–but kids of the ’90s are going to find a lot to enjoy about some of these new spots.
To begin with, we’ve got three entirely new major locations. There’s a large, scary-looking fortress that comes off as a more technologically advanced version of Brutal Bastion from Chapter 4, and is no doubt the villain Geno’s new HQ. There’s also a new spot modeled after the Green Hills Zone, the very first level from Sonic the Hedgehog. And lastly, we have a new, ancient-looking structure with a large maze.
The new locations are hardly the only changes to the map, of course–Sunken Shores, for example, is now covered in Tetris blocks, and the Zero Point at the center of the island has a creepy-looking tower on it that’s emanating energy. And there are other new details and Easter eggs to be found all over the island, not just in the named POIs. We will update this article as we get to know everything new in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4, but for now, here’s an early look at the new island.

As we learn more about the new island, we’ll update this post, so stay tuned for more as we dive into Chapter 7 Season 4.
