When you begin your adventure in Moonlight Peaks, you’ll have very basic tools with limited power. For instance, your pickaxe can only break small, standard rocks when you first set out, but after an upgrade, you’ll be able to break up larger rocks that stand in your way. You’ll need to upgrade all of your tools throughout your journey to continue progressing through the game’s story and building bigger and better items. With that in mind, here’s everything you need to know about upgrading your tools in Moonlight Peaks.

How to upgrade tools in Moonlight Peaks
To upgrade your tools in Moonlight Peaks, you’ll need to speak to Ridge inside the Howling Hammer shop in town. Note, however, this shop is only open Monday – Friday.

When you speak to Ridge, select Shop, then “I want to buy something.” Lastly, scroll over twice to the tool upgrades.
You’ll need a variety of ore (and plenty of money) for each upgrade tier. As the story unfolds, you’ll gain access to more types of ore in the Cave of Echoes at the very bottom left of the map in the Misty Shores biome.

As such, it’s a good idea to prioritize upgrading your pickaxe first, as this will allow you to break new (and bigger) mineral rocks for even more upgrades.
