The Halo: Campaign Evolved release date is right around the corner, and it’s coming even sooner for those that have early access. Campaign Evolved takes players back to the first game in the series, adding new missions and overhauling the graphics.
In a teaser posted to the official Halo X account, there’s clear footage of the game being played on a Steam Deck. Alongside the messaging that clarifies that Halo: Campaign Evolved will offer cross-platform four-player co-op, this is an indication that Halo: Campaign Evolved is playable on Steam Deck.

Alongside this, in a Q&A posted to Halo Waypoint, the official website for the franchise, it’s stated that Halo: Campaign Evolved is Steam Deck Verified. It’s also optimized for Windows handhelds, so if your portable gaming device of choice is something like the ROG Ally instead, you’ll still be able to enjoy it to its full potential.
For those on less portable devices, Halo: Campaign Evolved will be on Game Pass from day one for certain subscription tiers.
