This is the CPU/GPU combo that I use every day, and I can vouch for how well it works. Expect high-end performance in any game, but unfortunately without widespread FSR 4 support in games. You’re also only getting 16 GB of RAM here, but that shouldn’t bottleneck things much if you keep other apps closed while gaming.Key specs: Ryzen 7 7800X3D | RX 9070 XT | 16 GB DDR5-6000 | 1 TB SSD

Assuming you’re okay opting for AMD rather than Nvidia, what else could you want with this rig? You’re getting team red’s best consumer GPU, the best CPU for gaming with tons of 3D V-Cache, and plenty of RAM and storage to boot. It’s a true high-end rig in all respects.Key specs: Ryzen 7 9800X3D | RX 9070 XT | 32 GB DDR5-5200 | 2 TB SSD

Another top-end AMD rig, here, offering everything you might want for gaming, across the board. The best CPU, AMD’s best GPU, plenty of fast RAM, and 2 TB of storage. The chassis here is particularly gorgeous, too.Key specs: Ryzen 7 9800X3D | RX 9070 XT | 32 GB DDR5-6000 | 2 TB SSD
I had a slight inkling that the best gaming PC deals during this October Prime Day might lean pretty heavily towards AMD rigs, mostly because that’s been the trend for the past few months. And having just done a scour around various retailers, one week before the official event begins, signs are already pointing in that direction.
Which is no bad thing, speaking as someone who uses an RX 9070 XT gaming PC every day. That particular AMD GPU—featured in the three deals listed here—nets you great performance even in demanding games at 1440p. It can handle 4K, too, in most titles. The main thing it struggles with is path tracing, but with that aside it’s a fantastic high-end GPU that’s roughly equivalent to the RTX 5070 Ti.
Take a look at the other pre-Prime Day gaming PC deals I’ve spotted or follow us on WhatsApp
The three deals below are each rocking not only an RX 9070 XT but also an X3D processor. In the first case, that’s a Ryzen 7 7800X3D, and in the second and third, a Ryzen 7 9800X3D. I use the 7800X3D every day and find it fantastic, its only downside being temperature spikes that lead to quite a bit of variance in AIO fan speed.
The 9800X3D is a newer, better chip, of course. We reckon it’s the best gaming CPU you can get your hands on right now, so there’s no risk of FOMO on that front.

The RX 9070 XT performs about the same as the RTX 5070 Ti in terms of raw performance
So, which to go for? Well, if you need to stick below $2,000, the Andromeda Insights rig will do very well. The X3D chip is previous-gen, and you’re only getting 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage, but that 16 GB of RAM won’t hold your performance back in-game, assuming you ensure there aren’t many background apps open.
If you’re willing to spend a little more, though, it’ll be worth it to have a more well-rounded rig in either the iBuyPower PC or the Stormcraft one. The main difference is the RAM is slightly faster in the latter, but to save $150+ I’d be opting for the former. RAM speed doesn’t affect things as much as you might think.
That being said, you might prefer the Stormcraft chassis (it is nicer, in my opinion), and you get Onimusha: Way of the Sword with it, too. You also get an 850 W PSU rather than a 750 W one, which will give you more wriggle room if and when you decide to upgrade your GPU in future, or add more expansion cards. The choice is yours.
