So you want a little rivals-to-lovers arc with the prickly blacksmith? No judgement, I too came of age at the height of the tsundere tsunami so I’m not surprised that March has become by far the most popular bachelor in Fields of Mistria (so long as his brother Olric stays un-romancable, that is).

March romance to-do list:
Talk to March every day! (You can reach four hearts just by talking every single day of spring and summer without gifts, if needed.)
Mine some copper ASAP in your first spring to gift him an ore for his birthday on Spring 16 (or buy him a beer from the inn).
Stockpile perfect copper ore (drop chance from copper nodes in levels 1-20 of the mines) as a repeatable loved gift to grind friendship points.
Reach four hearts by Summer 28 to go to the Shooting Star Festival as his date and dance at the Harvest Festival on Fall 10.
Prioritize clearing the mines because getting past the fire seal on level 60 is required for his 8 heart scene.

The best gift for March is perfect copper ore
Perfect copper ore is the easiest of March’s loved gifts to stock up on and gift to him repeatedly. You’re going to be mining tons of copper from levels 1-20 of the mines early on and you’ll pretty routinely score perfect ores as you’re swinging away. Donate your first one to the museum and stash the rest to sweeten March up. Until you find your first one (and if you run out), he likes regular copper ore too.
