You still have about a week to play the first edition of Marvel Snap’s long-awaited Draft Mode, which debuted this month. But if you missed out or just can’t wait to get drafting again, Second Dinner has also announced when you can expect its return.
Draft will come back on September 28 as another LTGM. This time, though, scoring will work a little differently, as this second edition of Draft will use Sanctum scoring. That means it will borrow the scoring method from Sanctum Showdown, in which each turn awards points for winning alternating locations, and the winner is the first to reach 16 points. That likely means a heavy emphasis on Control and Move decks.
The new iteration of Draft Mode will also default to your starred variants instead of the basic card art.
This will be part of the planned Axis: Inversion season, bringing with it loads of new cards like Superior Iron Man and Anti-Polar Magneto, an extended login rewards calendar lasting three weeks, and a Team Clash LTGM happening mid-month.

When GameSpot spoke with Second Dinner’s Sam Stoddard, designer of the Draft mode, he emphasized how the studio doesn’t have everything figured out and will be gauging its next iterations on the audience reaction. Given that Draft is coming back so soon, we may be able to expect it to reappear relatively often, possibly with other rule variants like Sanctum scoring while the studio dials in on the mode.
