One Of 2026’s Biggest RPGs Is Hiding Inside Fanatical’s New $7 Mystery Bundle

I don’t want to stake my excitement before the game’s launch, but The Blood of Dawnwalker is looking like it could be one of my favorite RPGs in recent years. As a sucker for bloodsuckers, Rebel Wolves’ debut project looks similar to The Witcher 3–which is high praise, of course–and it’s no surprise, considering the development team was founded by key developers from CD Projekt Red. With launch almost here, I’m keen to give it a try–but some lucky vampires could get the game’s premium edition for just $7, alongside some extra Steam games, too.
Personally speaking, I don’t think the best RPGs just give you a sprawling world and decent combat. They make every action and every quest–whether a main story mission or a side quest–feel important and, if possible, have greater effects on the overall world. The Blood of Dawnwalker seems to handle that well. Each day has eight segments, and completing tasks or handling important conversations takes up time. With only 30 days to save protagonist Coen’s family before a vampiric coronation, well, any simple side quest could demand your valuable time. Or, potentially, net you an ally that becomes essential.
As the titular Dawnwalker, you gain access to vampiric abilities while still being able to walk around in the light of day–lucky you. Whether you decide to take a hefty chomp out of an enemy, earning you some health in return, or traverse with a sleek shadow step, there’s no shortage of nighttime abilities. During the day, you can use magic like hexes or rely on Coen’s mastery with a sword to survive daytime perils.

The Blood of Dawnwalker looks like it captures the essence of urgency without making it feel frustrating or overwhelming. As someone who was disappointed with Bloodlines 2, I’m desperate for a great vampire RPG, and that’s exactly why I’m going to be a day-one player. I can’t wait to sink my teeth into it and try to find out how quickly I can complete the main story, before realizing I’m sorely underpowered. Rebel Wolves’ debut lets you do that, by the way. Fanatical has The Blood of Dawnwalker at an excellent preorder discount, selling the game for just $61.59 right now (12% off the listing price). However, you can also take a chance at getting it for just $7 / £7 with Fanatical’s Spotlight Mystery Bundle, which gives you five mystery Steam games for seven bucks. The Blood of Dawnwalker is part of the bundle’s exclusive AAA Pack, alongside several other games, so you’ll need to get lucky to unlock it. Even if you don’t get Dawnwalker, you’ll still receive five games released in 2024 or later, and every title in the pool had a “Mostly Positive” or higher rating on Steam at launch.
Whether you manage to get the game in the Spotlight bundle or simply preorder it at a discounted price, I hope you get to enjoy it. And you can say fangs to me later. I’ll stop the vampire puns now, I promise.
