This bright yellow PC case is a sweet little bumblebee at only $130, and I take no responsibility if you’ve now got a certain song stuck in your head

A striking colourway and multiple sides of glass panelling mean this midtower case is only ever working its best angles. Mountable both vertically and horizontally thanks to a separately sold stand kit, I just hope you’ve got the space for it.

It’s all very well and good perusing the Amazon Prime Day sales for deals on cold storage SSDs and high-end PC controllers, but it’s not always the most exciting kit to cover as a hardware writer. Along similar lines, there’s a whole lot of plain black PC cases in the Prime Day sales, so I definitely appreciate when hardware housing rocks up bucking this trend.
The Thermaltake Tower 600 series already gets a big tick from me for its fishtank flourish, but I’m also a big fan of the suite of colours available. Alas, there’s only one case enjoying a discount on Amazon right now, and that’s the ‘Butter Caramel’ colourway currently going for $130.

I’ve no doubt that’s all the inspiration an entomologist who is also a fan of 90’s Eurodance bangers will need to fashion the bumblebee-inspired build of their dreams. But you’re getting a little more than just a fetching yellow colourway with this case. For a start, the Thermaltake Tower 600 supports hidden connector-style ATX motherboards with extra cutoutsโ€”for a case designed to put it all on display, this cable management flourish is definitely welcome.
This case comes with two 140 mm CT fans pre-installed in the top of the chassis. From there, you can then add your own up to a total of either nine 140 mm fans or 13 120 mm fans. You can also install either a 420 mm AIO radiator on the right side of this case, or a 360 mm AIO radiator on the left. As for the all-important GPU, the Thermaltake Tower 600 has room for cards up to 400 mm in length.
That’s a fair amount of build flexibility, already. On top of that, the Tower 600 enjoys what Thermaltake bills as a ‘Dismantlable Modular Design.’ Basically, rather than tying yourself up in knots to get at, say, awkward screws, you can just deconstruct part of the case to better reach it.
Once you put it all back together again though, this isn’t the most compact PC case you can pick up, measuring 550 x 420 x 286.4 mm. Mind you, if you’re going for a bright yellow PC case, you’re hardly going to want to then stuff it under a desk.
While you can display the case on its side, this orientation requires a sold separately mount. If you’re feeling extra fancy, there’s also a 3.9-inch LCD screen kit too. Should your heart be set on an all-singing, all-buzzing bumblebee build, the add-on costs could really pile upโ€ฆbut who am I to stop you from setting up a little rhythm game-inspired readout right there on your PC case.
