Are you eager to romance Lacra in The Blood of Dawnwalker? Although she’s one of the vrakhiri, she bears no love for the vampire lords that rule over Vale Sangora. In fact, she’s made it her life’s mission–or her unlife’s mission, that is–to put an end to Brencis’ schemes.
Along the way, she might just let Coen have a taste of the dark side. We’ve got all the details for you right here, but before we continue, please know that this guide contains spoilers.

The Blood of Dawnwalker – Lacra romance guide
The Blood of Dawnwalker Lacra romance is part of a long arc involving the character. The whole sequence consists of several quests, including A Friend Like This, Heart of the Mountain, Hive and Seek, Rotten Roots, and Night of Horrors.
As far as we can tell, Lacra is not like Anca in that there’s no chance of her dying accidentally before you can romance her. That said, certain moments and decisions might piss her off.
Note: Since Lacra is a vampire, you can only start her missions when it’s nighttime.
The first meeting between Coen and Lacra is an all-out brawl.
A Friend Like This
Before you can romance Lacra, you must first become aware of her existence:
Do Vicho’s Study In Crimson quest line until he tells you about another vrakhiri in Svartrau City. This begins the A Friend Like This mission.
Go to the northern part of the city and investigate the blood spatters and destroyed roof tiles.
You’ll eventually arrive at a nondescript house where Lacra is interrogating an uriashi prisoner.
Defeat Lacra in combat.
After the battle, you can spare the uriashi. Lacra’s a bit hotheaded, but she doesn’t mind your steady handling of things:
“Gladly, but we will actually talk.”
“I need to know how to get to your village.”
“You have my word.”
“I promise.”
“You’re not killing him.”
Follow Lacra’s trail along the streets (left) and on the rooftops (right).
Heart of the Mountain
You can push forward with the Lacra romance in The Blood of Dawnwalker by doing her next quest called Heart of the Mountain.
Meet up with Lacra at the marked location in Crown Rock when it’s nighttime. She’ll tell you to feed on the hapless shepherd. Do so and reply with: “An excellent one.”
Climb up the hilly region and plateaus until you encounter the uriashi matriarch. A bunch of uriashi will throw rocks at Coen.
Reply with the following: “All right, fine.” -> “Lacra, calm down.” -> “Nobody needs to die.”
Continue with: “Can we stop the hostilities.” -> “We’ve already proven it.” -> “What more proof do you need?”
From here, just “do nothing” until the uriashi give up. This lets you deescalate the tense situation. Lacra, who’s more hostile, should be fine with it.
Lacra’s ticked off, but you need to keep calm.
Hive and Seek
As far as we know, there are no notable conversations related to romance or flirting. This quest primarily involves heading deeper underground and fighting a lot of kobolds. Later, Coen and Lacra will be able to leave with the carcass of Isbrand, an older vampire who sired Brencis.
Just a bunch of kobolds waiting for their next meal.
Rotten Roots
Rotten Roots is one of the most surreal quests in the game, as it takes you to the realm of Anachora, which is akin to a hellish realm for vampires. A crucial moment occurs in the third major section where you see a fork in the road. To the right is Svartrau City and its castle. To the left, there’s a pit and Lacra tells you not to go there.
In our playthrough, we insisted that we had to go to the left, even though Lacra kept warning us. This caused her to leave, albeit temporarily.
Proceed normally until the cutscene that shows what happened to Lacra in the past. Eventually, you’ll get teleported to the faux-Svartrau area.
When you talk to Lacra again, reply with: “I’m sorry for going there.” -> “I needed to know what you were hiding.” -> “I’m still sorry.”
Later, after defeating Isbrand, you can decide on who gets his essence or if the old vampire will be left to rot. We chose: “I’ll do it. I invite you in, Isbrand.”
Don’t mind Lacra’s warnings (left) and, later, decide what you ought to do with Isbrand (right).
Night of Horrors
Night of Horrors is the quest where The Blood of Dawnwalker Lacra romance occurs. Here are some important tidbits:
Night of Horrors and another quest–Midnight Reckoning–become available at the same time. The latter is actually related to the finale where you fight Brencis. Don’t do that yet, as that’ll lead to the point of no return.
When you start Night of Horrors, there’s a cutscene where Coen and Lacra are exploring the swamps. Immediately after the cutscene, you might find yourself next to some hostile soldiers on patrol. This is actually a boyar activity, and defeating these enemies advances the time. If it’s almost morning, Night of Horrors will automatically fail.
Basically, if you see a bunch of soldiers, run away from them and don’t kill anyone.
As you progress through the quest by following will-o-wisps, Coen and Lacra will share their innermost thoughts: Grief. Anger. Regret. Just pick the conciliatory and supportive replies when prompted.
Share your grief and frustrations with one another.
Lacra sex/romance scene
Eventually, the two will reach the recesses of a cavern where an ancient vrakhir has been consumed. Lacra then tells you to eat the mandrake plant on the ground.

[Follow Lacra]
“Who says I’m not?”
Lacra will then offer her blood to Coen. Choose the [Drink] action.
Then, go ahead and kiss her. This leads to a sex scene between the two.
These two are having a bloody good time.
That does it for our guide on how to romance Lacra in The Blood of Dawnwalker. The aforementioned quest, Night of Horrors, nets you a couple of nifty rewards–the Mesmerize vampiric skill and the Mandrake Ward perk.
In any case, don’t forget that Coen can still get frisky with other characters. If you’re interested, you can head over to our Anca romance guide.
