A bunch of great gaming monitors are on sale for Prime Day, including the Samsung 34-Inch Odyssey G5 Ultrawide. Now listed for $265 (was $400), this is one of the better deals we’ve seen for the monitor this year. Along with tons of high-end specs, it’s pretty slick-looking, too. Like most products in the Odyssey lineup, it features an all-black design, aggressive angles, and a stand that allows you to tilt the screen (20 degrees of vertical motion) to find the best viewing angle.
Samsung 34-Inch Odyssey G5 Ultrawide
$265 (was $400)
Offering a 1000R curve for immersive viewing angles, a 165Hz refresh rate, and 3440×1440 resolution, the Odyssey G5 Ultrawide is built for high-end gaming. It also supports AMD FreeSync Premium, which smooths out images to prevent tearing and stutter. Other notable specs include support for HDR10, ports for both HDMI and DisplayPort, and a headphone jack (yay).

This isn’t the lowest price we’ve ever seen for the Samsung 34-Odyssey G5 Ultrawide, but it’s a much better price than usual. Amazon typically lists the monitor for nearly $343–so while it’s frequently on sale, it’s rarely as cheap as it is now.
Keep in mind that the monitor doesn’t let you adjust its height–even if it is tilt-adjustible. It is compatible with VESA mount arms and desk mounts though. It also doesn’t have internal speakers, which is fine if you have external speakers or headphones connected to your computer.
If you don’t want the hassle of needing to even have external speakers, you could consider checking out the INNOCN 40-Inch 5K Ultrawide. It’s equipped with built-in speakers, plus a stand that tilts, swivels, and is height-adjustable. Prime Day is bringing it down to $500 (was $1,000), and with a resolution of 5120×2160, it would be a nice choice for anyone with a rig powerful enough to drive all those pixels. There’s also a more affordable 1440p monitor in this line, the INNOCN 40-Inch Monitor for $360 (was $480)..
