Where to find the Chapel Key
The Chapel Key in Mortal Shell 2 is near the Mushroom Village. The map below shows you the location that you need to travel to.

From the Mushroom Village beacon, turn right and head slightly to the southeast. Just across from your position, you’ll see several witch-type enemies crowding around a bonfire. Take them out as you see fit and walk toward the stone arch.
The stone arch is actually a magical object. If you see one of these, you can pass through it to alter your surroundings. In this particular case, the archway will reveal a large statue holding a rope. Interact with it to pull the Chapel Key.

The Shrine of Trials: Where to use the Chapel Key
Once you have the Chapel Key in Mortal Shell 2, make your way back to the Mushroom Village beacon and go to the left this time if you haven’t done so yet. There, you’ll encounter a group of Grisha Hunters and a baby Grisha that’s trapped in a cage. (You can actually free it to receive some rewards.)
As for the Chapel Key, you can use it to unlock the door of the nearby tower, which reveals a dungeon called the Shrine of Trials. Here’s what you need to do:
In the first room, there’s a statue with this clue: “Gaze upon your king so true, back and back you shall pass through.”
Face the king statue and walk backwards. Doing so causes the illusory wall behind you to disappear.
In the second room, you just need to hit the two stone pedestals so that they’re placed neatly on the pressure plates. This will let you enter the final room.
In the last room, defeat the Spear Knight enemy to claim your prize, the Axe & Dagger weapon.
Walk backward when facing the king to pass through the wall.
